Stock Exchange building

The Stock Exchange building is a masterpiece by Danish-Austrian architect Theophil von Hansen. The distinguished building on the Ringstraße survived both war damages and a major fire that, however, destroyed the great stock exchange hall. Today the building mainly houses offices.

OHW - Experience

The tour starts in the foyer and leads into the hidden courtyard – which, although accessible to the general public, is largely unknown – and the Theophil Hansen relief. Here you will discover fascinating background information about the Vienna Stock Exchange and its architect. Via the main trading floor and the small but impressive spiral staircase, you will find yourself outside again, at the back of the building.
Tours are offered in German, English and Austrian Sign Language.
